Our president Obama signed to repeal the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy. The policy did not allow gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender to serve openly in the military. While they were in the military they were not allowed to say or show that they were LGBT. More than 13,500 people were discharged from the military. Obama has now signed to repeal this policy to allow LGBT people to serve openly in the military. Our president is now proud of signing this policy because he believes that gay or straight are the same people should be allowed to serve and fight for our country. He also hopes that all the people who were discharged from the military should re-enlist to fight for our country. We are all created equal and we should all be treated the same.
