Mayor in NYC

Mayor Micheal Bloomberg visited some of the neighborhoods that were very damaged in NYC by all the snow storms. The mayor stated that there is anger towards the crisis they are going through but it is not enough to melt the snow. Three days after the snow in NYC had stop falling, every street had been plowed at least once. There were people that said that nothing was  being done with all that snow in the streets. The mayor said that it was something ridiculous because people pay taxes to have thier streets clear of snow. The mayor had made his promise to have all the streets plowed by Thursday and he did pretty good on his promise. Some streets still had some snow but it was better.

Michigan repeals drug law

Michigan lawmakers accidently repealed penalties for drug abuse. There was a bill that took effect on November made it illegal to have or use drugs like Ecstasy and marijuana. The law stated up to one year in jail and up to $2,000 in fines. But, in December lawmakers engrossed in a busy lame-duck session that they forgot to include those penalties in the law. Gov. Jennifer Granholm signed that bill last week, for penalties for marijuana and ecstasy were repealed.

Incomeing senator Rick Jones will fix this problem once he starts in January.
