Freedom Of Religion

Having a piece of jewelry or a tattoo in your body, in my opinion is not a bad thing to have. In the case of the girl who was suspended for having a piercing in her nose was not a good reason to suspend her from school. She said that she wants to go to college and get a good education but the school is interrupting her from learning. She was not a trouble maker and she was a girl who liked to go to school and is searching for a better life in the feature. The nose ring was part of her religious believes and she does have the right to express herself in any way she wants, as the first amendment states. The school was violating her right to express her religion by not accepting her with the nose ring. The first amendment gives us the right to religion and the school is not accepting that.

The professor who focuses on the constitution laws stated that "schools have the right to issue neutral rules on dress as long as there's a good reason for it and it does not target a specific religion." I think that is a good way to establish rules at school. I believe that the school should only put rules on dress code but it has to have the exception on our own religious believes.
